Obituary for Imogene P. Ivey

Imogene P. Ivey, 88, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019, at a Houlton hospital. She was born November 22, 1930, in Monticello, the daughter of Benjamin and Freda (Belyea) Bailey.
Imogene grew up in Monticello and graduated from Ricker Institute. She married Richard Ivey on June 18, 1953 and they would share almost sixty six years of marriage together. She worked as an office secretary for Days Jewelry for many years until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed going for walks and taking care of children. Imogene loved being around people and especially her family.
She is survived by her husband Richard Ivey of Ludlow, a son Barry Ivey and his wife Melissa of Ludlow, a grandson Devin Ivey and granddaughter Amelia Ivey both of Ludlow. She also leaves behind a brother Gordon Bailey and his wife Doreen of Littleton, two sisters, Leona McCluskey of Connecticut and Elizabeth Cowperthwaite and her husband Richard of Monticello, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Opal Bailey.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Littleton Cemetery, Littleton. In lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Imogene in a special way may make gifts payable in her memory to a charity of one's choice in c/o Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park St. Houlton, ME 04730.
