Obituary for Gerard Allen Thibodeau

Gerard Allen Thibodeau, 72, passed away Wednesday March 14, 2018, at a Bangor hospital, after a long battle of multiple illnesses. Gerard grew up in Rumford and after graduation he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for thirty two years at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle as maintenance and caretaker. He is survived by his loving wife of almost forty nine years Cheryl (Blodgett) Thibodeau of Presque Isle, twin daughters: Rebecca Jamieson, Erika Smith and her husband Joel all of Presque Isle. He will also be missed by his two grandchildren, Jacob and Johanna Smith, an adopted daughter Faye Martin, and many special friends, especially his best friends Peter and Jeff Glover. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, at a later date.
